My PHILOSOPHY

Grief is an inevitable part of our lives that disrupts our relationships and the way we live. Our ability to manage our feelings, thoughts and behaviors becomes critical in our coping and meaning-making strategies.

In my practice, I work with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities to develop their own language for grief. Together we assess contextual factors such as culture, race, power, social location and other areas that impact the ability to grieve in their respective environments.

“I wish to create a courageous space where my clients find freedom in the joys & pains of grief.”

Relationships and circumstances change but we have to figure out how to situate ourselves after loss. At BLF Innervisions we develop new awareness, strength, and growth strategies to assist in the grieving process.

Additionally, my work is focused at the intersection of grief and racial trauma in BIPOC communities and with clinicians, educators and advocates who serve them. A central theme in my practice is to acknowledge those whose voices are unsupported and rendered invisible in life and death. I wish to create a courageous space where my clients find freedom in the joys and pains of grief.
